Sheffield Pentecost Street Party

On Sunday 4th June the Cathedral forecourt will come alive for the Sheffield Pentecost Street Party.

With local choirs and bands, circus performers and activities for children and families, the street party will be a wonderful family afternoon out in Sheffield. The Cathedral will also be open for visitors to explore our Lost & Found Exhibition and The Rag Cross.

The street party is free to attend and all our welcome.

1554 Coffee Shop will be open from midday serving lunch, snack, treats and drinks.  

After the street party the Cathedral is hosting one of the Thy Kingdom Come Beacon Events that are happening in cathedrals across the UK. Entrance to this is free but you will need a ticket. Find out more here.

Jenny Pegg - 3:10pm

Driven by a passion to see people inspired, encouraged and uplifted, the music of Jenny Pegg is already touching the hearts of audiences across the UK. Jenny’s music combines memorable melodies with lyrics that share her own experience of God’s provision and hope, in spite of her struggles with chronic illness. Her performances offer both uplifting music and honest testimony that will inspire audiences and church congregations alike.

Vassie is a London-based urban pop singer and songwriter. Vassie’s songs are shaped by her faith and the sounds of her hometown; with lyrics that offer a positive message for the ups and downs of life’s adventures. Her energetic live performances draw on everything from glitzy 80’s sythnpop to contemporary hiphop, via way of modern gospel.

Dan Collins Fire Breather - 4:20pm

The Plan - 4:40pm

The Sheffield based five piece pop / rock band bring an energy to their music that will leave you wanting more. Filled with strong vocal lines, catchy lyrics and guitar solos there music is exciting. The Plan currently work for The Shine project. A schools initiative in South Yorkshire that aims to raise young people's aspirations for life. Having just released their first single which achieved a top 5 place on the Uk Christian chart they hope to release there first album in the coming months.
