The Diocese of Sheffield roughly corresponds to South Yorkshire. Its parish churches are under the oversight and care of the Bishop of Sheffield, who gives a lead in the development of the vision for the future of the Diocese.
The Cathedral is its centre of worship. The Bishop of Sheffield has his seat (‘cathedra’) here, and presides at Christmas and Easter services and other special occasions.
The Diocese has its offices in Rotherham, and further information about Diocesan activities and other churches in the Diocese can be found on their website.
