Rufus the Cathedral Mouse: Pilgrim Trail

Join Rufus the Cathedral Mouse on a Pilgrimage around the Cathedral this summer!

Hello! I'm Rufus the Cathedral Mouse and I'm going on a Pilgrimage. In the Middle Ages, many Christians made journeys called Pilgrimages to holy placed to pray and find peace. These holy places can be places in the life of Jesus, a place where a miracle happened, or special to a saint. Pilgrims wore travelling clothes like mine and collected tokens from holy places they visited.

Come on a Pilgrimage with me around Sheffield Cathedral to learn about the Christian life. The Cathedral is a special place to many people and a site of worship for over 1,000 years.

The trail opens July 21st to 1st September and will be open every day, subject to other events in the Cathedral such as weddings and funerals. This is a great activity for children and families over the Summer holidays!
