This Wednesday we look forward to welcoming guitarist Nick Fletcher.
Nick Fletcher is a classical guitar composer and performer. He has given many recitals throughout the UK including The South Bank Centre London, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Christchurch Cathedral Oxford.
Notably, in 2014 Nick performed live, and was featured on the BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune ’program, presented by Sean Rafferty, and his music has featured on Classic Fm. Nick is also the most prolific composer of music for the guitar in modern times with currently over 80 compositions published by Canadian publisher Productions d’Oz.
His music receives excellent reviews in both ‘Classical Guitar’ magazine, and ‘Soundboard’ magazine, of the GFA (Guitar Foundation of America). He also teaches the guitar at Sheffield High School and Sheffield University, and is part of the John Hackett and Nick Fletcher flute and guitar duo, who have recorded two CD’s - ‘Overnight Snow’, and ‘Hills of Andalucia’.
Nicks solo recordings include ‘The Journey Continues’, ‘Cathedral of Dreams’, ‘Shadowlands’, ‘A Moment of Stars’ and ‘Blue Horizon’
