Join us for an evening of art and music as Sheffield’s One World Choir performs during John Wilsher’s City of Sanctuary art exhibition.
The City of Sanctuary art exhibition is inspired by John Wilsher’s voluntary work with Assist, a Sheffield charity who support destitute asylum seekers. The exhibition looks at the stories of individual refugees and the journeys they’ve undertaken.
One World Choir will be performing under the Peace Doves for an evening which celebrates both the individuals this exhibition is based around, and the work of Assist and City of Sanctuary charities.
One World Choir is a diverse choir within Sheffield which brings asylum seekers and refugees together. Their aim is to break down barriers between people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds through music. They perform regularly at community events around Sheffield.
Entry is free however donations of any amount to support the work of Assist and City of Sanctuary are greatly appreciated. You can donate by scanning the QR code at the exhibition or via the JustGiving page below.
