Join the Revd Captain Ian Maher, Minor Canon of Sheffield Cathedral, and explore Jesus the storyteller.
Playful, thought-provoking and disruptive of what we thought we knew about God, the world and ourselves, the parables reveal Jesus as a storyteller who could evoke alternative worlds, and as a conjurer for the imagination who both asked more questions than he made statements and wove more stories than he gave commandments.
The studies will be drawing from the book entitled The Parables by Paula Gooder (Canterbury Press, 2020). While the book is highly recommended and available through the Cathedral gift shop, it is not a requisite for taking part in the series.
