All are welcome to the celebration of our Patronal Festival, the Feast of St Peter and St Paul, on Wednesday 29th June at 7.30pm.
We are delighted to have as our preacher, the Revd Isaac Poobalan. Isaac was born, brought up, studied and served at the Christian Medical College, Hospital in Vellore, South India where his Dad was as an Evangelist in the Chaplaincy. On completing his training as a Psychiatric Nurse and serving in the Christian Mission Hospital for three years, Isaac moved to Abu Dhabi to serve in the United Arab Emirate Armed Forces Medical Corps for four years. It was here in the Arabian Deserts that he was called to go for training for Ministry in Edinburgh. In Edinburgh he served his Curacy, married Amu, a medical doctor and became the father of Michael (now an Intern at St Alban’s Cathedral). They moved to Aberdeen and had a second child, Elizabeth. Isaac now serves as the Rector of St Andrew Cathedral Church in Aberdeen.
