St Luke’s Hospice is celebrating their 50th anniversary with a special Service of Celebration at Sheffield Cathedral.
Starting at 2pm, St Luke’s Chaplain Mike Reeder, will lead the service, which will offer a chance to reflect and celebrate the lives of loved ones lost with readings, music and film interviews that capture the full extent of St Luke’s services.
“This very special service will include an interview with our founder Professor Eric Wilkes’ daughter Ruth Ostrovskis-Wilkes, talking about the day the hospice opened,” said Mike.
“There will also be interviews with other people who are playing a role in the present-day hospice and it will be a very special afternoon that reflects the way in which the work that St Luke’s does reaches out across the whole of Sheffield,” said Mike.
We really would like to see as many people as possible joining us and sharing their memories of the support St Luke’s has given them over the past 50 years.
