Enjoy half an hour of reflective organ music from Director of Music at Middlesbrough Cathedral and Diocese, Steven Maxson.

Come along to Sheffield Cathedral to hear the next recitalist in our organ recital series, Steven Maxson. For Remembrance Sunday, the programme will include ceremonial and meditative works such as the Elegy by local composer Tim Knight, as well as the Ceremonial March “In Terra Pax” by Vernon Hoyle and the March “On Ilkley Moor” by Noel Rawsthorne.

Admission is free, with a voluntary donation to support the Cathedral’s music programme.

About the Performer

Steven Maxson is the Director of Music for the Diocese and Cathedral of Middlesbrough. He was formerly Organist and Master of the Choristers at Grimsby Minster and Musical Director of the Grimsby Bach Choir. He held an organ scholarship at Keble College, Oxford and was Assistant Organist at Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral.
