Spring brings Beethoven's exuberant, dancing Symphony No. 7 and Stravinsky's magpie of a ballet score borrowing music from composers like Pergolesi
Wagner called Beethoven's 7th Symphony the "Apotheosis of Dance" - it's certainly a piece alive with energy and vigour. True dance features in the second part of our spring concert with Stravinsky's ballet score for Pulcinella with music borrowed from 18th Century Italian.
