Yonatan Shemmer from the Philosophy Department at University of Sheffield will look at Idolatry and Objectivity in Ethics as we continue to examine the relationship between religious and ethical traditions.
Yonatan Shemmer will trace the development of the concept of idolatry from the Old Testament through to the 20th century, before moving on to a discussion on ethical objectivity as an idol.
Doors open at 6.30pm, talks and discussion begin at 7.30pm. These talks are free to attend and open to all. The 1554 Coffee Shop will be open from 6.30pm and serving tea, coffee, wine and light refreshments.
