Seen in a New Light: An ancient story with a modern take

Sheffield Cathedral has a new exhibition about the story of The Good Samaritan.

During a writing workshop a group of people who attend the Cathedral Archer Project read the parable in the New Testament. They were asked to re-write it in a modern, creative and relevant way. Accompanying the stories are large photographic reproductions of the parable from the windows in the Parker Transept.  In the 1880’s the Parker Transept was built through the generous donation of Mrs Samuel Parker who was the widow of Dr Samuel Parker who was a prominent Sheffield physician.

The exhibition will be on display for two weeks and can be found in Old St Georges Chapel.

Free to view. All welcome.
