Festival of the Mind: Mirror and Ribbons, Reflections on Female Form in the Circus

Come along and enjoy a piece of narrative-based aerial theatre that combines spoken text projections and physical theatre, underpinned by psychological research into perceptions of women’s body image and historical circus context.

This is a collaboration between Sandy Belle Rosales Cadena (PhD student, Psychology), Claire Crook (circus theatre performer) and Angela Haighton (Head of the National Fairground and Circus Archive and Digital Humanities).

The event includes a talk by Professor Vanessa Toulmin about the history of women in circus. The event will take place in the Nave of the Cathedral and is free to attend.
