The Revd Ian Maher will be leading our Summer Bible Study, looking at the psalms. The sessions will be taking place in The Hilton Room and each session will be self-contained, but participants will benefit most from attending the whole course. Read more here.

Introducing the psalms

Our first session will set the scene by considering what psalms are, where they came from, their placein the life of Israel and Jesus’ day, and also the part they play in the life of the Church. This will prepare us for the subsequent sessions in which we look at three broad categories into which the psalms fall: hymns, laments and teaching psalms.
