We are delighted to welcome Santa Hilda School orchestra from Argentina on their eighth European tour.
Santa Hilda School Music Department was created forty years ago. In a short time, their small orchestral ensembles have grown into their first orchestra, and begun the strong musical tradition St Hilda’s has developed.
The school’s music department now consists of three orchestras and two choirs. Two hundred students now take part in instrumental and singing classes. They also have several community groups, including a community choir and orchestra, where former students continue to play and sing together.
This is a free concert for all, to showcase St Hilda’s talented young musicians. The Diocese of Sheffield is proud to be linked with the Diocese of Argentina, and we‘re thrilled to be welcoming these young people to our Cathedral.
