Professor Ben Quash of Christianity and the Arts at King’s College London explores a new permeability between such spaces.
This talk by Ben Quash, Professor of Christianity and the Arts at King’s College London, will explore how art galleries have grown increasingly popular as places for contemplation, spiritual experience, and lively religious enquiry. Cathedrals have increasingly become exhibition spaces for modern and contemporary art.
Does this represent a new permeability between such spaces, and what might be the fruits of their mutual openness? Drawing on his experience working with the National Gallery, The Courtauld, and many other artists and galleries, Professor Quash will explore this topic with us.
