After many weeks we have finally arrived at the last Sunday after Trinity. From this point on the focus of our liturgy changes and we move from exploring many different aspects of Christian discipleship to begin our journey through the Kingdom season, the pilgrimage through Advent and come, eventually, to Christmas.
Perhaps then it is a good time to take stock and consider how we have chosen to follow Jesus Christ in our daily lives. Over the weeks since Trinity Sunday we have reflected again and again on what it means to follow Christ in our daily lives. In what ways has that made a difference for us?
Changes in the liturgical calendar are transitions which allow for moments of reflection and appraisal. Opportunities for us, in reflection and prayer, to consider where we are on our own discipleship journey and make fresh choices about how we move forward.
There is so much for us to celebrate as a community and so many things which we have achieved together, even so we have a good opportunity for reflection, change and growth.
