We’re looking to expand our Chaplaincy Team. Interested? Read on!
Sheffield Cathedral is ‘A Place for All People’ and our Duty Chaplains represent the pastoral and spiritual life of the Cathedral, and contribute significantly to the ministry of welcome and hospitality. The Chaplain is a prayerful presence in the Cathedral and their visible presence is an important witness to its mission.
We are now seeking to expand the team and are inviting enquiries from those who are in recognised/authorised ministry, both lay and ordained, including ecumenical partners. As well as those who already have appropriate skills and experience, we would also like to hear from people who are interested in exploring/developing a ministry in chaplaincy.
If you feel this might be for you, we are holding two sessions exploring chaplaincy in this context: Thursday 16 January 2pm-4pm or Saturday 1 February 12pm-2pm. If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please email Ian Owers by 12 January (for session on 16 January) or 27 January (for session on 1 February), to allow us to arrange an appropriate amount of refreshments.
