Many of us might have been encouraged to find that the Church of England hit the national headlines on Shrove Tuesday.

Next week we embark upon the season of Lent, which is the annual opportunity for a ‘spiritual spring clean’.

The season of Epiphany reminds us that we are part of a complex world and we are called to play our part in making the love of Christ known. 

One of my favourite Christmas films is ‘The Grinch who stole Christmas’, written by Dr Seuss. It is a classic story of a character that hates Christmas so much that he attempts to steal it!
